Awards in the forum! 

Updated some more tonight, have to say Graham you've got quite a trophy cabinet there!

Here's a brief description of the awards available at the moment (most of which Graham already seems to have  )

The intervals are the same for all categories:
5 (white), 10 (red), 20 (green), 50 (blue), 100 (bronze), 200 (silver) and 500 (gold)
Only flights logged with Intercity ACARS count towards reaching each interval (i.e. transferred hours do not earn awards)

Right now we have the following award categories:
Different airports visited; Hours logged; Flights flown; Hours logged at VATSIM; Hours logged at IVAO

There are some awards I haven't listed above as they cannot be earned through regular flying (you'll have to watch this space to see what they are!) or aren't yet implemented:


The awards you've earned are only displayed in the forum at present but you'll start seeing them on other parts of the website soon, such as the top of your pilot logbook. We will add monthly awards later which will have similar categories.

This is a great idea!   I like it a lot!  Now to work on that 20!

Still working on it, so it is a work in progress project, but soon the awards will be awarded when you file flight reports. Will also show up in your logbooks too! I will (at a later date) backdate the awards so that the date they were awarded reflects when you reached that milestone

I just need one more J41 flight to earn the line pilot award (a nice shiny arrowhead union jack), but it's proving difficult at the moment as all me flying is ACARS testing in the Q400

Great idea ! have to fly the JS41 to get also the JS reward

Currently in the process of back dating all of the awards to the date that you achieved that goal. Have a look at your forum profile and click "Show Awards" for a list and all of the dates!
