To all pilots and management. I'll be out of the flight deck for about a week or so. I'm going through my third back surgery, and I'm not sure how long the recovery period will be. Will be back as soon as I can. Keep 'em in the air!!

Well, it took longer than I thought. About a month after the surgery, the pains returned with a vengeance. I just had a spinal cord stimulator trial put in yesterday, and for the first time in over a year I'm free of pain. I did my first return flight this am, and it felt good to be back in the air.
This trial will be over in a week, and I'll have to wait about a month for the permanent implant. Thanks for your patients as I took all this time off!
