Just a simple question about flight routes. Is it required to fly from the last airport? That's what I've been doing, but I wanted to see if I can pick and choose my departure points.
You can pick and choose :) But you can fly the duties if you want more realism
By the "Duties", you mean the duty numbers that are assigned to each route. I'm not quite sure what these are. Is the a typical "duty cycle for the pilot in that aircraft during a given time period?
The duty number is complete days flying for each aircraft. Usually with a morning and afternoon crew on our full schedules!
Sounds great. I'm thinking the real challenge is in keeping the schedules.
Flying the duties is a great challenge, with some very short change over times - especially if you are flying online and need to file all the specific flight plans, fuel up, boarding and deboarding, etc - let alone time for a coffee :) . I find it almost impossible to stick to the published schedules - but it's fun.

*Ding Dong* Senior Cabin Crew to the Flight Deck....
It really is impossible at London City at the moment, given how much longer the SIDs/STARs are. I was hoping to get it all corrected before April but free time is hard to come by at the moment so you may have to bear with us a little longer, sorry
Christopher, you and the team ate doing a fantastic job. These flights are some of the best I've experienced. I just need to work a little not on time/speed management to avoid getting other than "green".
