Hello Intercity Pilots!
I've been an Intercity Pilot for a few months now, and until now, my Forum Activity has been limited to 'lurking'.
I figured now would be a great time to come and say Hi!
I'm Oliver - a 14 (just) year old from the East Midlands area (EGNX), who takes joy in spending 30 minutes at the gate, programming a computer for a flight... oh yes, and also flying it - got to remember that too! :D
I'm also a VATSIM controller, and most of my time controlling (and increasingly, flying) is spent in the North London (Luton and Stansted) area, providing top-notch (oh dear...) ATC to pilots (they wish...).
I hope to get to know some of you soon!
Happy Flying!
Oliver Rhodes
Welcome aboard the forums Oliver! It's nice to have a VATSIM controller about the forums, I'm sure your experience will allow you to make unique insights and contributions to our discussion. I am a VATSIM C1 (CTR) myself, but I've not practiced in many years so you could probably teach me things now (like Euroscope :o )!
EGNX is my local airport too, you should definitely try a 60 minute flight experience with Donair when you get the chance.
Welcome to the forums, Im only a mere S1 on VATSIM! and not even in check to do that!
Hope your enjoying your time here at Intercity!
Hello Oliver.
Sounds like you have accomplished a lot in your FS career.
Man when I was your age, flight simulator was like stick figures moving across a screen!
Lol! You could atleast learn about VOR to VoR navigation! Forget Atc... Boy have things changed :D
