Title: Callsign Intex
Post by: Gokhan Ors on Jul 06, 2013 10:53

Hi Guys ,

I realized that our callsign prefix `ICX` is registered to International Air Express and the callsign is Intex .

It's makes confusion to both controller and pilot while flying online . That's why i use Intex but i think a solution must be found for this .

It appears they ceased to be an airline in 1994!

You can use the flightplan remark OPR/INTERCITY to identify your airline and callsign to controllers. We looked at many ICAO codes and chose ICX as its not been used by any airline for nearly two decades, most other stuff is still in use (we wanted ICA or ICE)

We're officially VATSIM and vRoute registered, and I've applied to VATAWARE for an update as well (not sure this will happen as they appear to be somewhat dormant) so we're doing everything we can. Might have to see where Euroscope and some of the other VATSIM radar clients pull their callsign data from and see if we can get the records ammended there too.
