Title: flight log problem [solved]
Post by: Gert Visser on Jul 12, 2016 15:04
Hi staff, I just landed at eglc from lsgs,
dep time 11.41 zulu, code 16071213431391. icx570
However, on setting the parking brake and switching the engines off, I could not hear the ding from the acars and I could not sent the flight log because the acars said the flight was not ended.
I tried to quit and recontinue the flight, but to no avail.
Maybe you can help and enlighten me what I did wrong??

Gert

I've recovered the flight log and submitted it to your logbook, complete with all the maps and graphs (nice on-time arrival with a good cruise speed btw, we do check :D ). It seems after landing it registered you as being in the cruise again (thus would refuse to let you on blocks) but I'm unsure why, so I've asked Mr H to investigate.

Hi Chris,
Yes, it seemed strange to me too.
I tried to reconnect and acars said I was in cruise, speed 0 knots, altitude 27ft !?!?
BTW, practice makes indeed better. It was the first acceptable landing in EGLC.
