Title: Acars working on reverse route
Post by: Keith Giannoni on Jun 15, 2014 12:16
Hi,

Deciding to be loyal, I planned to watch the England game. What better way to watch the match on the Ipad whilst cruising on a flight from Dusseldorf. Took ACARS a short while to kick in then off I went arriving in Kastrup EKCH to then have to watch a depressing last 15 minutes of football. Flight recorded. Job done.

Then when I checked the log Book I found I had booked and flown the reverse flight thus my log book shows EKCH to EDDL not the reverse route I had actually flown. No big deal for me as I did fly the leg. My question is should ACARS not give a warning or something if you are trying to start at the wrong airfield? Also on a slightly different note if you had to divert does ACARS in anyway allow for this?

Immediately noticed your problem.....watching football. Bunch of overpaid prima donna nancy boys.  A decent game of rugby will cure all issues.

ACARS knows where you are but doesn't require you to be at the departure airport, maybe something I can add in! Although the route progress trip at the bottom would have been going backwards!

Ill amend your flight log for you though!
