Hi, Acars used fine this morning. This afternoon 15:58Z ran acars as normal and said it was updating. Avast trapped the update as a infected and now cannot run acars as before as it is quarantined. Just wanted to check before updating with Avast turned off.


After investigating found that this is AVAST incorrectly reporting. Installed without AVAST and worked fine. Please ignore

How strange I actually use Avast myself and it's constantly scanning! I think it's probably because the updated downloads a small exe from a website in the background, I'm sure you can see why it thinks it's an infected file!

The same thing happened on my system. I've used Avast for years and it's never flagged ACARS before, but they released a new version of Avast recently. Anyway, we all know Intercity ACARS is safe
