Worldflight 2014 is fast approaching (November 1 - 8 ). For those not familiar with Worldflight, it is an annual round the world flight to raise funds for various charities (the Aussie participants support the Australia Royal Flying Doctor Service). Several fixed based simulator teams from Australia, UK, Germany and the USA fly non stop for a week with Vatsim providing continuous ATC. Other Vatsim members are free to join them on any of the legs. More information can be found here: http://www.worldflight.com.au

Of interest this year is that Worldflight will be passing through the Intercity hub of EDDL. For those who may be interested, the current schedule has Worldflight arriving at EDDL (from EGLL) on November 6, 18:25 UTC. They then departs an hour later at 19:25 UTC for EPWA. It would be cool to see some Intercity flights arriving or departing EDDL to coincide with this although unfortunately due to timezone differences it falls bang in the middle of the night on a working day for me so it will be unlikely I will join in.
