Title: Online flying vs offline flying
Post by: Gert Visser on Feb 12, 2016 17:06
Hi all pilots and staff,
I have been looking at a lot of logbooks lately.
I got a bit curious:
I see a lot of pilots as members of VATSIM and/or IVAO, but when I look at the flights ONline vs flights OFFline,\there is a HUGE difference.
1800 hrs ONline vs 3300 hrs OFFline.
Could you explain to me why there are many more flight offline?
Technical problems, problems with ATC??
I am very interested why people choose to fly either off or on line.
Thanks!

Gert

Personally I always fly online on VATSIM. If theres no ATC then thats fine I do my own thing, if there is then great I get to chat to someone!

I think some people just don't feel confident enough to fly online.

Usually try to fly online. However 2 recent bad experiences with waiting 20 mins for start clearance and then playing silly remit games with London centre sort of spoiled the experience
