Thought Id snap a photo of my setup for you all to see, was thinking it would be interesting to see everyone elses setups too!

I'm embarrassed to show mine; I don't have a desk currently so I am flying using a wireless keyboard with touchpad, wireless headset and a joystick on a veeeerrryy long USB extension. On the plus side, the PC is connected to a 37" Full HD LCD :) Unfortunately though, it means there's nowhere to mount my yoke so its probably seized up from lack of use by now  :(

Bill Ant (1076)

Nice setup Chris!
I have considered a yoke too but it takes up a lot of space.   At the very least I will get rudder pedals.   Also, I have track IR now which really adds a lot.

Jim Caudell (1163)

Nice setup  :D
I had the same yoke and throttles. They worked very well, made it a little more realistic and fun.
But Yoke broke (something internal died  :-[ ) Have not gotten a new one yet, but plan too

Chris Liu (1001)

I'd suggest the Cessna yoke as the roll range is more realistic

Chris Hulme (1003)

Ive had mine about 4 years and still going strong, very good build quality! Although one of my tow brakes has an intermittent fault and after taking it apart seems its the potentiometer, so just need to get a new one when I get around to it!

Jim Caudell (1163)

Do the foot pedals cause any problems?
I have heard that the toe brakes can cause issues, I was looking at the Saitek ones.
There are the Cessna ones too, it would be great to be able to taxi around using pedals instead of the joystick

Chris Hulme (1003)

Not had any problems whatsoever, you just need to set the null zone to about 5 or they knock the parking brake off all the time. Mines just getting old, thats whats causing mine to have the fault

Dean Farley (1176)

Heres mine.  Flying out of EGLC for EGJJ.

I like the autopilot panel! Does it work with all aircraft or just specific ones?

Dean Farley (1176)

Works pretty much with anything that has an SDK, it runs of the LINDA software.  I don't actually use it that often.  No reason other than I'm so used to turning knobs and switches in the virtual cockpit.

Since I'm a new pilot here, thought I toss in a picture of my flight deck. You can see more pictures at my blog site here:

Here's my setup - I also use my trusty Sony airband reciever (upper left), that gives me some background chatter during flights. Coffe provided by my great cabin crew ;)

Nice setup there Gerold! How do you switch hardware between planes and helicopters? I used to be a helicopter pilot myself, but have never quite managed to get on to it with FSX, due to hardware (collective, twist throttle, etc.) and visual restrictions.

Cheers  :D

It's pretty easy for me - I have two computers.  ;D One for primarily fixed wing large a/c like the 737, Airbus, and of course my Majestic Q400. The other computer handles smaller aircraft like the Cessna, and twins, and with a special collective I made, for all types of helos. That flight deck is modeled after the DodoSim 206.

Impressive! Do you have like 2 sets of screens as well?  :-\
