Hello forum,

I have yet to fly an official Intercity flight, but while I was practicing IA SOP, I realized that I lacked an INTERCITY call sign. These were made with - and must be installed via - EditVoicepackX.

Click here to download callsigns on Mediafire.

Enjoy!

Cheers,

Nice work Thomas.

Maybe Chris can add it to the downloads area.

Serge

If Thomas is happy for me upload his files to our server I'll gladly add them to our downloads page. I will have to package them in to a .zip with an obligatory readme.txt file though.

Sure Chris, you have my permission to do so.

Tell me if you need other voice modifications (e.g. aircraft model names) made. I'm contemplating redoing the "BAe" name included in EditVoicepackX, maybe adding a full "BAe Jetstream 41" too. Might add proper Dash 8 naming later as well.

Thanks Thomas, I'll pop them up in a few days  :) On the radio I usually identify my aircraft type as "Jetstream forty one" or "Dash eight queue four hundred", I think that's how real pilots most commonly say them too.

On the Airline2Sim training videos I recall them saying "Dash Eight Delta" for the ATC calls which I guess makes sense as it aligns with the ICAO code for the aircraft DH8D.

Cheers,
Serge

I will have a look at that, do you remember which episode?
I'm thinking of making a few variations, so people can choose by preference. Like "Dash 8", "Dash 8 Q400", "DeHavilland DHC-8-402Q" et cetera. Would anyone be interested in this? I cannot promise that it is possible, but if you have any requests, feel free to post them here (even if unrelated to the J41, DHC-8 and Intercity Airways), and I'll try to get them done.

Part 7, the first line flight departing the Isle of Man. While on the ground they request clearance (it's at around the 20:30 mark of that part) and mention their aircraft type.

Cheers,
Serge

No worries. You can also check out the other line flights as follows:

Part 9, Line Flight 2 from Birmingham they request clearance at around the 21:30 mark.
Part 10, Line Flight 3 from Guernsey they request clearance at around the 11:50 mark.

All clearance requests refer to themselves as a Dash Eight Delta.

Cheers,
Serge
