Intercity Airways operating procedures are as outlined by the CAA, EASA, ICAO and airframe manufacturer documentation (such as the AOM, FCOM and FCTM), as applicable. On this page we only set out procedures that deviates from these sources or areas which they do not cover.

o Configured to seat 29 passengers and 3 crew (2 flight crew and 1 cabin crew)

o Equipped with beige and grey cockpits with ICAO 2012 (item 10) equipment SDE2E3FGRY/S, PBN/B2B3B4

o Life jackets are not carried, so the aircraft must never be more than 50 nm from land

o Typically plan for trip fuel plus 1200 lbs. Final reserve is 450 lbs and below this you must declare an emergency; PIC may add a larger reserve if they anticipate extended holding or nominate a distant alternate.

o The FMS should be fully programmed before each flight, unless it is unserviceable or the aircraft is performing training circuits.

o Engine start is not to be commenced until the aircraft is fully closed up. A GND PWR ON start should be performed if a GPU is available; once engine 1 is stable and its associated generator on the bus, then select GND PWR OFF confirm the GPU has been removed before starting engine 2.

o Powerback is only to be practised where unavoidable and must be performed by the captain with the assistance of a marshaller. It is preferable to be pushed back if this can be obtained in a timely manner, or turn the aircraft around on the stand if there is sufficient room.

o Pushback with engines running IS permitted, as new shock strut brackets have been fitted to all relevant aircraft in accordance with AD G-004-05-99.

o For the purposes of Flight Simulator, single engine taxying is prohibited and the gust lock must be removed before commencing taxi.

o When taking off from contaminated runways, continuous ignition must be used and reduced torque takeoffs are not permitted.

o When APR is used for takeoff, reduced torque takeoffs are not permitted.

o Propeller/engine RPM settings are as follows:

. o Taxi, start and shutdown: 72% (condition levers back to taxi stop)

. o Takeoff and landing: 100%

. o Climb: 98.6% (if ICE AOA ON and <700 fpm at 180 KIAS, up to 100%)

. o Cruise: 97.4%

. o Descent: 96.3%

o When climbing, the thrust levers should be set to maintain EGT as close to VRL (Variable Red Line) as possible, taking care not to exceeding VRL, unless a reduced climb rate is desired by PF. Pitch to maintain 180 KIAS typically.

o Cruise at Vmo-10 to -15 typically. Flights 45-70 minutes should cruise at FL180-FL200 (see FAQ for more details)

o Descents are normally performed using AP IAS set to cruise speed, with thrust levers adjusted to maintain the vertical speed 'REQUIRED FPM DN' on FMS VNAV Page 1/2 .
