Selection of Flight / Aircraft [Solved]

I may have missed it but...
I notice that when a flight is selected, a specific registration is assigned to the flight. e.g. ICX1 - GICJT. Then if I opt to do immediately the return flight, and select ICX2, the registration may then be shown as GICJA.

My question is... Is there an easy way to keep the original aircraft registration for the series of flights I may be doing rather than having to change aircraft?

What I do to keep it real and maintain the same aircraft is repeatedly select and quit the flight until the registration I am using already shown up. This of course takes some time.

What options are available that allows the same aircraft registration to be used throughout?

Chris Liu (1001)

At the moment the assignment of registration is completely random. Perhaps we can keep the random generation but provide it in a drop-down box so you can pick another registration if needed?

Would be nice to make it an option if needed.
The two current options I have is 1) Select a new aircraft which most times crashes my FSX for whatever reason. or 2) the Select Flight and Quit until the registration comes up.. that takes a few minutes at times which is okay but....

A drop down option may be a great idea for those of us crazies who want to keep an aircraft for a series of rotations.

I did consider tracking aircrafts locations so that pilots like yourself who fly A-B-A could have the same aircraft reg, there's a few issues I came up with:

>More than 1 aircarft at the airfield, ACARS selects wrong reg
>Flight A-B is flown on day 1 then B-A day 3 but the aircarft has already flown elsewhere
>Pilot flys A-B then C-D so aircarft is not returned to base, would need to virtually dead head an aircraft

Would be easy-ish to implement and we could have a page showing where the fleet are. I'll run it by Mr Liu and see what he thinks!

Chris Hulme (1003)

After a short debate with the boss, we decided to just add a drop down box of regs!

So you can select a reg or leave it at random and it'll just pick a random one!

Coming very soon...

Works very well. Many thanks
Easier now to keep the same aircraft for a duty rotation.
