Hi all, flew the ICX 404 tonight BHX NCL and ACARS again wouldn't recognise engine start. Even ticking manual on/off blocks button didn't bring up the buttons. The green progress bar registered but status never got past boarding.

Block times 19:25-20:14

Ps has anyone ever had a flap drive warning? Got one on finals when extending to 15. Not seen one before.

If you tick the box after you've clicked "Begin Flight" it will have no effect, you would need to restart ACARS. I've filled the flight for you. I we may need to go back full manual off/on blocks for the Majestic because I know this kind of thing is frustrating and it's happening too often now (the irony of Flight 404 being "lost" isn't lost on me).

As regards the flap drive warning I've never seen it before, perhaps you exceed the flap speed limitations at some point?

The way I have solved the non boarding issue  is one of two ways:

1. Wait at least for four minutes. It seems at least with the J41, the EGT temp needs to fall.

2. Move your aircraft once you have started ACARS to another Gate (I use the menu rather than slew).

Thanks guys. Maybe I was a tad fast which caused the flap drive issue. Was fighting the trim on this approach.  Variable winds made this interesting. Cheers for sorting the flight Chris.
