Title: ACARS flight log sending failed [Solved]
Post by: Jan Naslund on Jul 26, 2019 11:07
Hi,

I am using the older version of ACARS that was reverted to.

Made a flight online on VATSIM EDDL - LFPO today but I can't send in the report. ACARS says "sending failed".

See attached screenshot for details.

Best Regards / Jan

Hi,

I ran Wireshark and started up ACARS and I can see all the REST calls (HTTP GET requests) from the client and I see returned packets so the client is talking to the far end.
ICMP seems to have been disabled on the remote server as well as pings don't work but that's normal to prevent some hacker attacks.

I wanted to trace while sending a report but I don't know how to resend the latest one from the client. I tried 3 times earlier when it failed so I have 3 reports for the same flight in my ACARS client at the moment.

Could be interesting to see what happens on the wire for trouble shooting.

Best Rgs and happy flying :) / Jan

Hi Jan

Appears to have sent and the response in ACARS doesnt match with what actually happened. Ive removed the duplicate entries from your logbook.
Also I have just released an update to ACARS which address this and a few other issues along with a GUI refresh!

Fixed, and like the new look :)

And best of all, the near instantaneous flight log sending! No more nail-biting waits :)
